VB-MAPP and EFL
Our curriculum is a combination of the Eden Curriculum, Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP), and Essentials for Living.
- The Eden Curriculum is a comprehensive series of teaching programs designed to provide a valuable resource to enable professionals and parents to effectively teach students with autism. The Eden curriculum employs a hands-on approach and includes practical teaching strategies for each program.
- The VB-MAPP is a language and social skills assessment program for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. The VB-MAPP brings together the procedures and teaching methodology of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and B.F. Skinner’s analysis of verbal behavior in an effort to provide a behaviorally based language assessment program for all children with language delays.
- Essentials For Living (EFL) is a science-based curriculum focusing on functional daily life skills which are more relevant for students who have limited skill repertoires, limited speaking skills, and/or severe problem behavior. It is used in conjunction with other curricula, including the VB-MAPP.
